Aqui esta um pequeno video que eu fiz ontem so para voces terem uma idea do que eu estou falando....

And although there are different clips, they were all taken within a few minutes of each other....and it is only the part you can see...imagine what I feel all day! :D

E mesmo que sejam clipes diferentes, todos foram feitos dentro de poucos minutos dos outros...e isso e so a parte que da pra ver...imagina o que eu sinto o dia todo! :D

Nursery Project #2 and #3/Projeto Quarto do Bebe #2 e #3

Project #2: Birds for the wall/ Projeto #2: Passarinhos para o mural

Our next step in the Nursery project was to paint the birds on the birch tree wall we had painted last week. This was a fun project that had the potential to ruin all we had done so far if it didn't come out right (Scary!!). The first part was finding the bid silhouettes. I just did a google search and picked the ones that I liked and then printed them. After that, I cut them and placed them on the wall where I thought they would look best. Next I used painter's tape to cover the spot and then cut out the shape with a blade. This was the hard part...but the scary part was painting... I was afraid the paint might run under the tape and make it look messy. To my joy and surprise there was not that much of a mess...nothing I couldn't fix at least :D

Nosso próximo passo no projeto do quarto foi pintar os pássarinhos na parede que pintamos na semana passada. Este foi um projeto divertido que tinha o potencial de arruinar tudo o que tinhamos feito até agora se não desse certo (Que medo!!!). A primeira parte foi encontrar as silhuetas. Eu fiz uma pesquisa no google e escolhi as que eu gostava e, em seguida, imprimi-las. Depois disso, eu cortei e fixei na parede onde eu achava que ficaria melhor. Depois usei a fita adesiva para cobrir o local e cortei a forma com um estilete. Esta foi a parte mais difícil ... mas a parte mais assustadora foi a pintura ... Eu estava com medo que a tinta escorresse por baixo da fita e ficasse borrado. Para minha felicidade e surpresa, não ficou borrado ... nada que eu não poderia resolver, pelo menos: D

Project #3: Book Ledge/ Projeto #3: Porta Livros

Our next project was to build book ledges. We just fell in love with this idea from the moment we first saw it. Reading is very important to us and we want it to be important for our little one too! I also read somewhere that children are more likely to pick up a book to read if they can see the cover. For the book ledges, we bought wood boards of 3 different sizes and used a screwdriver to put them together, then we painted and put them on the wall. Sounds easy enough except for the measuring, and leveling, and finding studs (without a stud finder!)...

Nosso próximo projeto era construir o porta-livros. Nós simplesmente nos apaixonamos por essa idéia a partir do momento em que a vimos pela primeira vez. A leitura é muito importante para nós e queremos que ele seja importante para a nossos filhos! Eu também li em algum lugar que as crianças são mais propensas a pegar um livro para ler, se eles conseguem ver a capa. Para o porta-livros, nós compramos placas de madeira de 3 tamanhos diferentes e parafusamos as partes, em seguida, pintamos e colocá-los na parede. Parece fácil, exceto para a medição e nivelamento, e encontrar as vigas na parede...

I could not wait to see how this one was going to look but I must say I am very happy with the final product.

Eu mal podia esperar para ver como ia ficar, mas posso dizer agora que estou muito feliz com o produto final.

28 weeks and the start of the nursery project/ 28 semanas e o comeco da preparacao do quarto

Here we are week 28!!! I cannot believe we are here already! It is hard to explain how time goes for me these days. While it feels like each day is dragging on as I look forward to meet this precious little one, it also feel like it is flying by especially when I think of all that needs to be done still.

Aqui estamos nós na semana 28 (7 meses)! Eu mal posso acreditar que estamos aqui já! É difícil explicar como o tempo passa nestes dias. Enquanto parece que cada dia está se arrastando enquanto eu espero ansiosamente o dia de conhecer esse pequeno, também sinto que ele está voando, especialmente quando penso em tudo o que precisa ser feito ainda.

And the as the weeks go by, the belly continues to grow. It is amazing how it does not seem to change at all until I actually see the pictures and realize the big change. Although I do feel it getting harder and harder to do things like sit on the floor (actually getting up from there is even worse), pick things up from the floor, and putting on shoes (the ones that require pulling).

E a medida que as semanas vão passando, a barriga continua a crescer. É incrível como ela parece não mudar nada até eu ver as fotos e perceber a diferença. Embora eu sinto que esta cada vez mais difícil fazer coisas como sentar no chão (na verdade, levantar de lá é ainda pior), pegar coisas do chão, e calçar sapatos (os que exigem puxar).

Daddy is also getting more and more excited about the baby! He spends quite a bit of time feeling the baby move and helping me get things done...like putting on my shoes and socks for me when necessary :-D. Talking about moving, boy this little one moves!!!! Last Sabbath there was a major party in my belly. It is great how now we can feel not just kicks and punches but also little parts just moving across the belly from one side to the other. I am loving it!!! I was just thinking that after he is out I am going to miss that a lot!

Papai também está ficando mais e mais animado com o bebê! Ele passa bastante tempo sentindo os movimentos do bebê e me ajuda fazer as coisas ... como colocar meus sapatos e meias, quando necessário :-D. Falando em se mexer, este meniniho mexe viu!! No sábado passado foi uma grande festa na minha barriga. É muito legal como agora podemos sentir não apenas chutes, mas também outras pequenas partes que se movem de um lado para o outro da barriga bem devagarzinho. Eu estou amando tudo isso! Eu estava pensando que depois que ele sair, vou sentir muita falta das festas na minha barriga!

Can't believe these "non-pregnant" pants still fit...these might be the last pics with them though.

Mal posso acreditar que estas minhas calças ainda cabem ... Talvez estas serao as últimas fotos com elas.

DIY Birch Wall for nursery/ Mural de Quarto de bebe Feito a Mao

This week we started on Nursery Project #1...A birch tree mural for the wall behind our crib. We had searched and searched for many weeks to decide what to do in the room and last week we were very excited to finally come to a decision! We wanted to paint a mural with birch trees and bird silhouettes similar to something we had seen on pinterest (see my nursery board for links). So I talked to my dear friend Kristen J., who is awesome at art projects, and has been helping us with the nursery project. We decided on a color, made a list of supplies and after we had everything we were ready to start.

Esta semana começamos o Projeto Quarto do Bebe# 1 ... Um mural de bétulas para a parede atrás do nosso berço. Havíamos procurado e procurado por muitas semanas para decidir o que fazer no quartinho e na semana passada nós finalmente chegamos a uma decisão! Queríamos pintar um mural com bétulas e silhuetas de aves semelhantes a algo que tinha visto no pinterest. Então eu compartilhei a nossa ideia com a minha querida amiga Kristen J., uma artista impressionante que tem nos ajudado com os projetos do quarto do bebe. Decidimos a cor,fiz uma lista de materiais e depois que tinha tudo o que precisavamos, estavamos prontos para começar.

Marlon and I started taping up the wall with painters tape and we just couldn't stop. We were going to wait for Kristen to do the trees but we were so excited we ended up just doing all the taping. We used blades to do the shaping of the edges and scissors to cut leaves. The next day when Kristen came over she thought we were ready to paint and so we did. We used 3/4 of a gallon of paint on the first day and the other 1/4 the next day. Roshmoti H. helped with the second and final coating of paint.

Marlon e eu comecamos a passar a fita na parede e nós simplesmente não conseguiamos parar. Nós planejavamos esperar pela Kristen para fazer as árvores, mas estávamos tão animados que acabamos fazendo tudo. Nos usamos stiletes para fazer os detalhes e tesouras para cortar as folhas. No dia seguinte, quando Kristen veio, ela achou que estávamos prontos para pintar e assim o fizemos. Usamos 3/4 de um galão de tinta no primeiro dia e outros 1/4 no dia seguinte. Roshmoti H. ajudou com a segunda camada e final da pintura.After a few hours eagerly waiting for the paint to dry we pulled the tape off and voila! I wish I could say it was that easy but not really. The tape did not pull as easy as we would like and we had to do some minor reshaping afterwards but all turned out well. See pics below for the progression of our project.Apos algumas horas esperando ansiosamente para a tinta secar nos puxamos a fita e voila! Eu gostaria de poder dizer que foi fácil assim, mas não foi. A fita não saiu tão fácil como gostaríamos e tivemos que fazer alguns pequenos retoques depois, mas tudo acabou bem. Veja fotos abaixo para a progressão do nosso projecto.

And here is our wall almost completely ready (missing some bird silhouettes for now and maybe a couple more things). This is kind of how we want the crib to stay...maybe just a bit more to the right.

E aqui esta a nosso mural quase completamente pronto (faltando algumas silhuetas de passarinhos por enquanto e talvez mais algumas coisinhas). Assim e maios ou menos como queremos que o berço fique ... talvez um pouco mais para a direita.

This is the other project I am working on (especially in the morning since my new schedule includes not being able to remain asleep anytime after 4 am :( )...Crocheting all kinds of cuddly animals for our little boy to play with! The next ones on the list are ladybug, kangaroo, polar bear, and fish...(and hopefully there will be more after that if I have time...) For the time being I ran out of fill but as soon as there is more...

Este é o outro projeto em que estou trabalhando ... (especialmente na parte da manhã desde a meu novo horario inclui não conseguir permanecer dormindo nem um minuto após quatro horas da manha :( )Crochetando todos os tipos de animais fofinhos para o nosso menininho brincar! Os próximos na lista são joaninha, canguru, urso polar, e peixinho ... (e virao mais depois se eu tiver tempo ...)Por enquanto acabou o material de encher os bixinhos, mas logo haverao mais ...
