32 weeks...let the countdown begin//32 semanas...contagem regressiva

So here we are on week 32! Now all I can think of is that we have 5-8 weeks left until we meet our little guy! Although, over the past few weeks he has sure made his presence known by pushing, stretching, and kicking as hard as he can making my belly feel like it is about to pop. Marlon's mom says Marlon was the same way...All that goes through my mind is if he moves this much with such limited space inside of me right now imagine when he is out!!!

Então, aqui estamos na semana 32! Agora tudo que eu consigo pensar é que temos apenas de 5-8 semanas até conhecermos o nosso garotinho! Embora, ao longo das últimas semanas, ele tem feito a sua presença bem conhecida, empurrando, esticando, e chutando tão forte que as vezes eu sinto que a barriga está prestes a estourar. A mãe do Marlon diz que o Marlon era do mesmo jeito ... Tudo o que passa pela minha mente é que se ele se move tanto assim com espaço tão limitado dentro de mim, imagine quando ele estiver fora!

Every four weeks when it is time to take pictures I always wonder if there were any changes in the size of the belly...it is not until I look at the older pictures that I can actually tell. That is why I like making these progression pictures so that I can see how much it has grown!

A cada quatro semanas, quando é hora de tirar fotos eu sempre me pergunto se da pra perceber alguma mudanca no tamanho da barriga ... so quando eu olho para as fotos das semanas anteriores que eu consigo realmente perceber o tanto que cresceu. E por isso que eu gosto de fazer essas fotos mostrando a progressão para eu poder ver a diferenca.

This is a view from the top. What you can't see is that I am actually leaning over with the camera because I cannot actually see my feet by just looking down. This new feature has made for some interesting occurrences. For example, last week I cut out a huge chunk of my leg while trying to shave =( It also very hard to reach my feet unless I am sitting on the floor...but if I sit on the floor it is hard to get up. So, lets just say daddy here has been helping me a lot with my shoes and washing my feet.

Esta é uma vista de cima. O que você não pode ver é que eu estou com a câmera bem pra frente porque na realidade eu não consigo ver os meus pés só olhando para baixo. Este novo acontecimento tem causado algumas ocorrências interessantes. Por exemplo, semana passada eu cortei um pedaçao da minha perna com a gilete tentando raspar a perna =( É também muito difícil chegar a meus pés a menos que eu esteja sentada no chão ... mas se eu me sentar no chão é difícil de levantar. Então, vamos apenas dizer que o papai aqui tem me ajudado muito com meus sapatos e lavando os meus pés.

This week has also been exciting for us because we received a box of beautiful baby things from my mom. I loved everything she sent and I am having a lot of finding a place for everything...this one on the picture is just one of them.

Esta semana também foi emocionante para nós porque recebemos uma caixa de coisas bebê da minha mãe. Cada coisa mais linda que a outra. Eu amei tudo o que ela mandou e estou gostando muito de colocar tudo no lugarzinho... este foto é apenas uma das coisas.

According to babycenter.com, our little man is measuring about 16.5 in and weighting almost 4 pounds! I sure feel all that extra weight too! My belly feels so heavy at times, especially when I get up in the morning. For the next few weeks, the baby is expected to almost double in size before he comes. Wow...I can't imagine how heavy that is going to feel...

De acordo com babycenter.com, nosso homenzinho está medindo cerca de 42 cm e pesando quase 2 quilos! E com certeza eu sinto todo esse peso extra também! Minha barriga esta tãopesada, especialmente quando me levanto pela manhã. Nas próximas semanas, espera-se que obebê quase dobre de peso. Wow ... Eu nem consigo imaginar o quão pesada a barriga vai ficar...

And although there are different clips, they were all taken within a few minutes of each other....and it is only the part you can see...imagine what I feel all day! :D

E mesmo que sejam clipes diferentes, todos foram feitos dentro de poucos minutos dos outros...e isso e so a parte que da pra ver...imagina o que eu sinto o dia todo! :D

Nursery Project #2 and #3/Projeto Quarto do Bebe #2 e #3

Project #2: Birds for the wall/ Projeto #2: Passarinhos para o mural

Our next step in the Nursery project was to paint the birds on the birch tree wall we had painted last week. This was a fun project that had the potential to ruin all we had done so far if it didn't come out right (Scary!!). The first part was finding the bid silhouettes. I just did a google search and picked the ones that I liked and then printed them. After that, I cut them and placed them on the wall where I thought they would look best. Next I used painter's tape to cover the spot and then cut out the shape with a blade. This was the hard part...but the scary part was painting... I was afraid the paint might run under the tape and make it look messy. To my joy and surprise there was not that much of a mess...nothing I couldn't fix at least :D

Nosso próximo passo no projeto do quarto foi pintar os pássarinhos na parede que pintamos na semana passada. Este foi um projeto divertido que tinha o potencial de arruinar tudo o que tinhamos feito até agora se não desse certo (Que medo!!!). A primeira parte foi encontrar as silhuetas. Eu fiz uma pesquisa no google e escolhi as que eu gostava e, em seguida, imprimi-las. Depois disso, eu cortei e fixei na parede onde eu achava que ficaria melhor. Depois usei a fita adesiva para cobrir o local e cortei a forma com um estilete. Esta foi a parte mais difícil ... mas a parte mais assustadora foi a pintura ... Eu estava com medo que a tinta escorresse por baixo da fita e ficasse borrado. Para minha felicidade e surpresa, não ficou borrado ... nada que eu não poderia resolver, pelo menos: D

Project #3: Book Ledge/ Projeto #3: Porta Livros

Our next project was to build book ledges. We just fell in love with this idea from the moment we first saw it. Reading is very important to us and we want it to be important for our little one too! I also read somewhere that children are more likely to pick up a book to read if they can see the cover. For the book ledges, we bought wood boards of 3 different sizes and used a screwdriver to put them together, then we painted and put them on the wall. Sounds easy enough except for the measuring, and leveling, and finding studs (without a stud finder!)...

Nosso próximo projeto era construir o porta-livros. Nós simplesmente nos apaixonamos por essa idéia a partir do momento em que a vimos pela primeira vez. A leitura é muito importante para nós e queremos que ele seja importante para a nossos filhos! Eu também li em algum lugar que as crianças são mais propensas a pegar um livro para ler, se eles conseguem ver a capa. Para o porta-livros, nós compramos placas de madeira de 3 tamanhos diferentes e parafusamos as partes, em seguida, pintamos e colocá-los na parede. Parece fácil, exceto para a medição e nivelamento, e encontrar as vigas na parede...

I could not wait to see how this one was going to look but I must say I am very happy with the final product.

Eu mal podia esperar para ver como ia ficar, mas posso dizer agora que estou muito feliz com o produto final.
